Part Time Roving Lead Apartment Maintenance Technician (After Hours Only)

Seldin Company is seeking a Part Time Roving Lead Apartment Maintenance Technician in Sioux City, IA.  This position will assist at many of our apartment communities and will only be responsible for after-hours calls. This position will pay up to $40.00 an hour, determined by experience, certifications, skills, and education. 
This position will be responsible only for after-hours calls during nights and weekends. The schedule for this position will be further discussed during an interview.

What You Will Do

This position is responsible for providing maintenance support as assigned by the On-Call Pod Leader or the VP of Residential Property Management across multiple properties in an assigned portfolio. The Part Time Roving Service Technician assists by promptly responding to urgent maintenance requests outside standard business hours and during weekends. This position addresses issues related to appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.  

Essential Functions

• Respond to calls within 30 minutes. Diagnose and perform major, minor, and routine maintenance and repair in a timely and professional manner. Perform effective emergency maintenance.  
• Provide daily reports detailing the calls received, the response times, any repairs conducted, and any necessary follow-up actions.  
• Perform and report all work in accordance with the company's safety standards, OSHA regulations, and health codes. Perform work area clean-up on a weekly basis. 
• Ensure all work is performed according to State Landlord-Tenant Law and all Federal Fair Housing Regulations.

Skills and Requirements

• Three to four years of related experience or training
• Ability to work independently
• EPA or HVAC certification is required
• Tolerance to all extremes of hot and cold weather
