AGRONOMY SALES MANAGER - SCOTTSBLUFF, NE

Job Title: Agronomy Sales Manager, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 

Legacy Coop is looking for an Agronomy Sales Manager to join our agronomy team in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the sales activities of agronomy products and services, including seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products.  They will manage a team of sales agronomists, develop sales strategies, and work to achieve sales targets and business objectives.  This role also involves building and maintaining customer relationships, providing technical advice, and staying abreast of industry trends.  

The Agronomy sales manager position is IN PERSON so the ideal candidate lives in our around the Scottsbluff, Nebraska area. This position is full-time and comes with Legacy Coop's full-time benefits package including retirement, 401K, holiday, vacation, and sick time, as well as competitive pay.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Team Leadership and Management:  Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales agronomists, providing guidance, support, and performance management. 
• Sales Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement sales strategies, business plans, and marketing initiatives to achieve sales targets and profitability goals. 
• Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing agronomic advice, addressing customer needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. 
• Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:Maintain a strong understanding of agronomy products, their applications, and market trends, providing expert advice to customers. 
• Sales Performance Management:Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to improve sales effectiveness and achieve sales targets. 
• Marketing and Promotion:Coordinate marketing activities, such as field days, farmer meetings, and demonstration trials, to promote products and services.  
• Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety policies. 
• Financial Management:Contribute to pricing strategies, manage budgets, and maximize revenue and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in agronomy sales and management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• Ability to travel as needed and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of agronomic principles, crop production, and agricultural practices.
