Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving efficiency, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced steel distribution warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming/outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition
• Coordinate receiving, staging, and loading of materials
• Oversee inter-facility transfers and will-call orders
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales on inventory and cycle counts
• Train staff on equipment, packaging, and safety procedures
• Lead safety initiatives and support HR with staffing and discipline
• Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment upkeep

Required Skills and Experience

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum of three years in warehouse management required
• Two or more years’ experience in shipping and receiving
• Strong knowledge in inventory, logistics, supervision, and reporting
• Experience with tape measures, micrometers, and overhead cranes
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and maintenance procedures
• Detail-oriented with excellent data accuracy and multitasking skills
• Effective communicator with ability to interpret documents and instructions
