Description

Under limited supervision, the instructor is responsible for teaching multi-level ESL classes to students enrolled in IWCC's secondary programs. Instruction will take place at Jack Links in Underwood, Iowa.

Job Duties

Attend professional development sessions

Utilize engaging and interactive teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.

Maintain accurate records of attendee participation and completion for reporting purposes.

Tailor course instruction to meet the diverse needs of adult ESL learners with varying levels of experience
Facilitate orientations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record

Physical Demands

Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.
