Thie Director Pharmacy Operations will administer, direct, and manage pharmacy services provided by the organization. Serve as primary liaison for development and leadership of medication services established to meet the clinical and business objectives of the enterprise. Identify and direct initiatives and/or strategies that support/provide services to improve population medication outcomes and manage pharmaceutical and nutrition costs for the organization in coordination with service leadership and the vice president.
Required Qualifications: Director Pharmacy Operations
* Minimum seven years pharmacy practice experience required.
* Minimum five years pharmacy leadership experience in specified area of pharmacy required.
* Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) license (or eligible for license) to practice pharmacy in the state of Nebraska required.
* Community Based & Specialty/Infusion Pharmacy Leaders: Understanding of specialty pharmacy drugs including Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) and limited distribution products and/or network required.
* Demonstrated understanding of the 340B drug program requirements required.
* Ability to lead others through development and empowerment required.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and function independently required.
* Knowledge of computer, fax, printer, and copier required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
* Leadership skills which demonstrate the ability to understand, communicate, and support the strategic objectives of the organization required.
* Possess a working knowledge of financial analysis, health care markets, and performance improvement required.
* Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.
Preferred Qualifications: Director Pharmacy Operations
* Pharmacy experience in a director level role preferred.
* Residency training strongly preferred.
* Master's degree in business administration or other graduate degree is preferred.
* Board Certification preferred.
* Specialty/Infusion Pharmacy Leader: Post Graduate Year Two (PGY2) administrative pharmacy residencies preferred.
