Community Services Technician

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented individual to join us as a Community Services Technician!

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong behavioral healthcare background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for coordinating care and improving health outcomes. The candidate will support the Bridges to Mental Health Program focused on reducing barriers to behavioral health care in Nebraska. The Community Services Technician will work directly with primary and specialty care providers to improve health outcomes through supportive care navigation and connection to early intervention, risk reduction, and client education. This position also plays a vital role in developing the Bridges to Mental Health program.

Assist providers in our clinic and enjoy working part time at home and part time in the office!
The position includes working with providers and clients from the community as well as our clinic patients.

Duties: Community Services Technician
Assist patients to obtain access to available resources to meet basic needs in order to improve adherence to treatment plan.

Required Qualifications: Community Services Technician

Minimum of two years experience in a mental health setting, working with both adults and/or children.
Bachelor's degree in human services related field or equivalent experience required. One year of experience equals one year of education.
Broad knowledge of available local, state and federal programs for assistance in meeting basic needs (food, housing, access to health care, transportation, Medicaid/Medicare, drug assistance programs.) Knowledge of mental health/substance abuse programs in the area required.
